SCHEDULE

DAY 1 SEGMENT 2

10.00 - 11.30

TRACK 3:

Telehealth and Schema Therapy for Children and Adolescents

with Christof Loose

Includes Live Questions and Answers

Schema Therapy (ST) is an enhancement and further development of cognitive behavioral therapy, and particularly integrates emotions, but also developmental aspects centrally in their diagnostic and therapeutic considerations. It is also and especially in the field of child and adolescent therapy particularly suited to generate action-guiding, diagnostic and therapeutic concepts.

The aim of the Live-Webinar is to present online techniques and approaches for younger clients, providing therapists with material that has proven to be powerful during this pandemic, e.g. templates of how to explore emotional needs, modes, schemas. Participants will learn how to use P. Wislon‘s blob trees®, glasses as metaphors of schemas, movies including quiz (Kahoot®), and other playful approaches. These approaches provide clients with a better understanding of what schemas, modes, and needs are and how they are related to intense feelings and dysfunctional behaviour. Participants will actively learn how to create an online mode sketch including the central questions within a mode interview (e.g. with finger puppets, smurfs®, mode cards, etc.). This mode sketch template can be used for free. On a side note: many approaches are interesting and helpful for individual (adult) schema therapists as well.
