6.30 - 6.45 pm

Abstract: The study aims to investigate the relationship between maternal Early Maladaptive Schemas (EMS) and EMS in children. Therefore, 62 children enrolled in public schools, in South Brazil, and their mothers (caretakers) participated voluntarily in this study. A group of trained psychologist conducted the interviews and the applications of the psychometric instruments. The group of mothers and caretakers answered a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Young Schema Questionnaire (YSQ-S3) in addition to the consent form. The children answered the Young Schemas Inventory for Adolescents. The data collected from these instruments was analyzed using the SPSS software (version 20.00). The categorical variables were described by percentage frequencies and the exact test of Fisher or qui-square were used to analyze the possible associations. (α 0.05).
