Day 3: Strengthening the Healthy Adult to Best Cope with the COVID-19 Crisis
9.30 - 10.00 am
Central European Time
The current crisis including the lockdown induces strong fears among many people and in the same time disconnects us from important social resources. This works like an acid test on our accustomed coping skills. How can we face these challenges at best?
After a brief introduction of a condensed need and mode model, a summary of maladaptive and adaptive behaviour taken from a contextual (3rd wave) perspective will be given to deepen the understanding what Healthy Adult behaviour is composed of. The goal is to broaden the scope of schema therapy interventions and balance change strategies with acceptance including elements of self-reflection on the therapist´s side.
