ISST Special Interest Groups
Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
by David Edwards, ISST President, 11th March 2019
SIGs have a focus that is relevant to the application and development of schema therapy in a specific context or to examine other matters of concern. Each SIG is run by a Chairperson or Convenor who takes responsibility for it, who is accountable to the Executive Board for its activities, and who ensures that the website entry for the SIG is up to date. SIGs must have regular online meetings which should take place at least four times a year, though several of them meet every month. They are normally open to all ISST members. Members are credited with ISST CEUs for attendance at SIG meetings.
To start a new SIG you must apply to the Executive Board which must approve it. Send an email to David Edwards or any other Board member stating the focus of the proposed SIG.
Convenors of SIGs may use the ISST’s Zoom account as a platform for the online meetings. In order to arrange this please read the Policy Statement and Agreement which you can download here and send the completed form to the ISST office.
