About
I am currently working primarily with the military veterans with their service related mental health issues and complex childhood trauma, as well as local mental health services to provide urgent care for those in need of support due to crisis.
My area of interest, aside from trauma related mental health issues, is supporting clients suffering from psychosis (here I am referring to psychosis as a trans-diagnostic symptom, rather than focusing on one or two particular mental illness which have psychosis as their main features). I completed an independent research for my Msc on treating psychosis with psychotherapy.
I am also experienced in treating clients with mood disorders and behavioural difficulties.
However, I must point out that treating enduring difficulties associated with trauma and attachment issues is still my main focus and I have found using Schema Therapy extremely useful. Working with clients with various mental health difficulties has been proven as rewarding, though at times it can be challenging. Having provided my clients with therapy to help them through their difficult time, I feel grateful that they are willing to trust me to go through their ordeals, something which they have tried to hide, or simply did not know what to do with, for a long time.
My client groups are adults aged 18 and over.
