I am drawn to the person-centered therapeutic style and endeavor to provide a warm, judgment-free, and confidential space for clients so that they can be vulnerable and begin the process of healing. I work with clients from 16 years of age and up, and have experience working with diverse populations. Emotional functioning and emotion regulation is at the heart of my practice. I typically work with individuals who are experiencing symptoms of complex PTSD, personality disorders, treatment-resistant depression, and anxiety disorders.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and earned a MSW from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and have been practicing in the Triangle for the last few years. I have completed specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
My orientation to therapy is cognitive, behavioral, and interpersonal. I create a safe environment to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the context of the client's unique needs. I genuinely enjoy working with people and believe people can and do achieve the life they want.
I have completed specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I regularly work with individuals experiencing a variety of symptoms, such as, Depression, Grief, Anxiety/Anxiety Related Disorders, Personality Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, PTSD, Self-Esteem Issues.
