'Enhancing Skills in Imagery Rescripting'

September 15, 2018
(6.5 hours of active CPD)
Stirling, Scotland

by Susan Simpson & Kirsty Gillings

This workshop will provide therapists with an opportunity to enhance their Imagery Rescripting skills. It provides a solid foundation of skills for those beginning to use imagery work in their practice, as well as providing more experienced therapists with examples of managing difficult and challenging situations typically observed in clinical contexts. Participants will learn skills in improving re-scripting skills, whilst managing commonly experienced difficulties in imagery work. Furthermore, attendees will also develop skills in strengthening the 'Healthy Adult' mode via imagery work. The workshop will utilize live demonstrations and newly developed imagery re-scripting video teaching resources, allowing participants the opportunity for practical experience and guidance. The workshop will focus both on working with imagery in the context of PTSD (big 'T' trauma), as well as early patterns linked to the development of early maladaptive schemas. Participants will receive handouts that they can use in their clinical work.
