Over recent years session limits for psychotherapy in public & private insurance mental health care have reduced. In the UK, clinicians within the NHS are required to provide treatments for those with complex trauma and ‘personality disorders’ often within a limited time-frame. This workshop provides training on time-limited schema therapy treatment programs combining group with a limited number of individual sessions to meet these limits. There is growing evidence that using the mode model and the power of Group (&/or Individual) ST short-term treatment can be safely and effectively implemented. This workshop will provide hands-on training in the provision of group &/or individual therapy for mixed ‘personality disorders’ & complex trauma. Further, we will provide a summary of the growing evidence-base supporting Schema Therapy short term protocols for Complex Trauma and ‘Personality Disorders’.

Who is this workshop for?  This workshop is suitable for a range of professionals who practice psychotherapy, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, nurse therapists, and anyone working in mental health. It is especially targeted at clinicians working in the NHS, those working with complex trauma and ‘personality disorders’, and those who are working within a time-limited model.
