About
I am a counselling psychologist with a medical and research background, PhD in medicine. Being trained in individual, couple, and children schema therapy, I work with adults, adolescents, and families. I integrate schema therapy with EMDR, classical CBT, ACT, person-centred and mentalization-based approaches. On a parallel track, I am a neuroscientist studying the mechanisms underlying interoceptive and emotional processing and developing approaches to support individuals whose brains work differently.
As a clinician, I am especially interested in the overlap between psychological mechanisms and brain functioning. Having 10 years of experience with neurodivergence and psychosomatic disorders, I love working with autistic and ADHD clients, and with people who have somatic diseases and symptoms. My other areas of interest include chronic depression and complex trauma. Besides that, I work with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical cases where schema therapy is helpful.
